All the Italian Club selection preserves are born from the desire to offer our customers products that are, in terms of taste and quality, as close as possible to those who lovingly and patiently prepared our grandmothers for exclusively family use. The Artichoke Hearts in Extra Virgin Olive Oil are a brilliant example of the excellent quality that distinguishes all the products we have selected. Their preparation begins in the spring with the manual harvesting of artichokes in the fields of a Salentine company (Lecce, Puglia) that has always cultivated its products in a totally natural way. Immediately after the harvest, the artichokes are transported to the processing workshop where only the most delicate, soft and tasty parts of the same are selected and boiled in water and vinegar. After cooking, the artichokes are placed in glass jars with the only addition of natural aromas and covered with an excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil, cold pressed and 100% Italian.
Ingredients: Artichokes (64%), extra virgin olive oil (35%), garlic, mint, salt, traces of vinegar and citric acid.
This product is free of GMOs, Colorants, Artificial preservatives, synthetic antioxidants.
The Doctor says: Artichokes are a precious source of potassium and iron salts. They contain an active ingredient, cynarin, which promotes diuresis and bile secretion, thus protecting the liver. They are very indicated in the diet of diabetics.
Suggestions of use: The Artichoke Hearts in Extra Virgin Olive Oil are ideal as an aperitif or appetizer, but also as a side dish and as a condiment for pasta or rice salads. The extra virgin olive oil contained in the jar can, in turn, be used as a condiment being of excellent quality.
