Pitted Taggiasche Olives 180 gr - Italpesto
The Taggiasche olive is an olive cultivar typical above all of Western Liguria and in particular of the Province of Imperia. It is so-called because it arrived in Taggia, brought here by the Monks of San Colombano, coming from the monastery island of Lerino. Grafts of Taggiasche olives were spread throughout Italy over the centuries, although the largest cultivation has always remained in the province of Imperia; this variety is one of the most renowned for the production of extra virgin olive oil and one of the best table olives, since the fruit, despite its small size, is very tasty.
The Italpesto company has selected the best Ligurian Taggiasche Olives which, after being pitted, are immersed in Cold Extracted Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

The Doctor says:
Olives contain the same acclaimed nutritional properties as extra virgin olive oil, albeit in a lower concentration. They contain a lot of monounsaturated fats (the so-called good fats) which help to lower bad cholesterol. Olives are also rich in antioxidants, substances that protect the cells of the body from damage caused by free radicals and therefore from aging and tumors.
These delicious Taggiasche Olives can be used as a snack for aperitifs, or in the kitchen to flavor meat, fish, or sauces.
