Dried Tomatoes 290 gr - Terra Noscia
Terra Noscia is a small family-run company based in Salento that deals with the production of typical Apulian preserves.
Each product of the Terra Noscia company is born from a deep respect for traditions, from raw materials of the highest quality and completely handcrafted processing. All the raw materials used are” Km0” and are processed fresh.
Dried Tomatoes in Extra Virgin Olive Oil are a brilliant example of the excellent quality that distinguishes all the products we have selected.
Their preparation begins in the middle of summer; when the tomatoes, when fully ripe, are harvested manually in the fields of the company, in Salento (Lecce), which has always grown its products in a totally natural way.
Immediately after harvesting, the tomatoes are transported to the nearby processing laboratory where only the best are handcrafted, hand-cut lengthwise, salted, and left to dry on frames under the warm Apulian sun and caressed by the typical sea breeze.
After the drying phase, the tomatoes are blanched and placed in glass jars with the sole addition of natural flavors such as garlic and mint and covered with an excellent cold-pressed and 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The Doctor says:
Tomatoes are a source of valuable nutrients, especially potassium, phosphorus, vitamin C, vitamin K, and folate. The red color of tomatoes is due to an antioxidant, lycopene, whose action is assisted by two other antioxidants, namely lutein, and zeaxanthin. The constant consumption of tomatoes is a valid aid in the prevention of cancer.
Dried Tomatoes are a very ancient and typical product of the southern Italian tradition. They can be enjoyed both as an appetizer and side dish or, as is now customary for many renowned chefs, they can be used to enrich, with their inimitable flavor, many preparations of both meat and fish. The extra virgin olive oil contained in the jar can in turn be used as a condiment being of excellent quality.
